About LINGO

LINGO is a user-supported weekly podcast of global pop music, hosted by me, Frank Fradella.

When I’m not scouring my hard drive or the ‘net for more music for this weekly multilingual melting pot, I’m a published author, an independent filmmaker, and the former host of the Beginner series over at ChineseClass101.com. Language has always been a fascination of mine, but being an American living in Beijing gave me an all-new perspective. Most of my friends are at least bilingual and, in some cases (hello Hyunwoo Sun), quite a bit more than that.

Music is such an innate part of every culture, and not all language acquisition happens when you’re hitting the books. Sometimes you can practice passively by watching movies or listening to music. That’s where this show comes in. This is for me and all my friends out there who need a little study break.
