  1. Hyunwoo Sun says:

불치병 is an incurable disease (不治病 in Chinese characters) : )

  2. Syn says:

You done it!! I love the German selection! Not done listening to the program but I am impressed!

  3. Syn says:

Ok, I am studying Spanish, Korean, and German by the way.

  4. L I N G O says:

Hyunwoo – Would that disease happen to be love, by any chance? LOL And yes… YAY!

Syn – Thanks for sending in that song! It totally rocks!

  5. Maria & Ana says:

Typo in the 7th song, David Brisbal it’s David Bisbal

  6. L I N G O says:

Thanks! Fixed it! Hope you’re enjoying the show!

  7. Jessi says:

Nice, I was surprised to hear the Zac Brown Band! Country music represent! (Yes, my taste in music stretches far and wide XD) Overall, excellent episode! And I just thought I’d add that Monkey Majik is actually a group – 2 Canadian guys (one who does the lead vocals) and 2 Japanese guys. Thnks for playing them :)

By the way my native language is English and I study Japanese and Spanish (and have dabbled a little bit in Chinese and Korean)

    • L I N G O says:

Would you consider yourself fluent (or close to fluent) in Japanese or Spanish? And I’ll certainly make an on-air correction the next time I play Monkey Majik! Thank you so much for introducing me to them!

      • Jessi says:

Hmm… good question ^^; I guess I’d say yes to both, more so Japanese than Spanish now though. It used to be the other way around, although as I’m sure you can imagine there aren’t many chances to use Spanish here, although I did find a great Spanish-speakers-in-Tokyo group that meets up every month :D

        • L I N G O says:

That’s awesome. The world really is shrinking. When I talk to my parents about my experiences (they’re in their 70’s), I’m always reminded that in the world they grew up in, the things I’ve done and the places I’ve gone would have seemed impossible to them. They never would have thought about living on the other side of the planet, but so many great things and people have touched my life in my travels. Including you. Thanks for being part of this, Jessi!

  8. JJ says:

Cool (and varied!) show this week!

    Native Language: English.
I studied Spanish in high school, and should learn more, as there are so many opportunities to use it now!
Lately I’ve been trying to learn Mandarin. Still at a basic level, but gaining ground!

    • L I N G O says:

I studied Spanish for five years throughout my middle and high school career. I’m ashamed to say I can’t speak the language AT ALL. Good luck with Mandarin! It’s challenging, but very rewarding!

  9. Becker Lonng says:

    Wow wow wow!
An fatanstic site!! I love it!
I’m so glad there are also Chinese songs. I’m learning English and Italian, and some Dutch. They are all so difficult, but music can make them more interesting, I think.
One suggestion: If there are also lyrics, it will be perfect!
Hope more and more people will come here!
    节节高升!
    Becker

    • L I N G O says:

Thanks, Becker! Really glad you’re enjoying the site! I’m afraid it would be impossible to include lyrics for the songs on the show, but it’s a great suggestion anyway! Make sure to tell your friends about the show!
